Every participant must have a signed Covid waiver and current permission slip for 20/21. Both are available below. We will continue with all our free after school club programs and will haul teens with our busses. Masks will be required. Please contact us with any questions.
We expect an amazing and wonderful 2020 at YFFC as we continue to mentor students and share the love of Jesus.
Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Isaiah 60: 1-3
Youth & Families for Christ Mission Statement:
Youth & Families for Christ, Inc. is a (501c3) non-profit, non-denominational organization striving to bring about a positive heart-change, physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually in every kid in every circumstance, ages 11-19 in the Columbus, Nebraska area.
Although YFFC does have faith-based programs, we are not affiliated with a church, but we do partner with all willing members in the community. We are also a United Way agency that meets the needs of teens and families in our community. YFFC partners with schools, counselors, community organizations and clubs to provide free services for every teen in every circumstance.
Youth & Families for Christ (YFFC) is excited about the next step of our ministry in Columbus, Nebraska. We are still mindful of where we came from, who we are, and where we are going.
We came from a youth ministry organized 20 years ago to address the teen pregnancy crisis in our community. We grew significantly and began transitioning into a crisis/prevention ministry for numerous at-risk youth issues, eventually becoming a local chapter of Youth for Christ/USA.
Who we are has not changed since our humble beginning. We are an arm of the church, and not the church. As Youth for Christ/USA changes towards an Association of Churches, we held fast to our original roots, our original identity, and our methods of reaching lost teens in our community. As Youth for Christ/USA changed, we choose to separate and remain true to our mission, now as Youth & Families For Christ, Inc.
Where we are going has not changed. We help deal with everyday stress teens are facing. We still love to partner with local people, businesses, and churches to help reach our youth. Our hope is all teens will become lifelong followers of Christ and planted in a local church home.
